I haven't been completely idol, just a few of the images I've been working on. I would be my own worst critic & only want to show the best that I like.

Desert Grace: A composite image of several images blended together.

This old truck sitting in a paddock a long way from the roadside, shot with a 200mm lens on a crop sensor camera which effectively made it a 320mm focal length

On the West Coast one day & this wee Damselfly caught my eye, it just seemed to wait patiently for me to take a few shots even smiling for me. Hand held macro, this was the best of the photos that day.

Water Wheel

Here's an old Photo from a long time ago back when I first started training. We would use black & white film that we had to hand load from bulk rolls. At the time I had a broken arm & on this particular day we were on a field trip & the weather was gloomy & raining. So I decided to rate my 125 ASA (ISO) film at 800 ASA(ISO). This meant I was pushing the film 3 stops. What that did for me was to give me good shutter speeds. My fellow students were using the correct settings & I noticed their shutters were very slow & hand held there was a lot of camera shake that day. So as a result when it came to developing the film I had to keep the film in the developer a lot longer than usual to get the images to come out. As a result you got that grainy look in the final image. A sepia tone gives it that old style look. So now in the digital age I took this old photo & simply scanned it into the computer (darkroom) & tidy up a few dust spots & even some water marks from processing all those years ago. I put a grungy border around it & put my watermark on it. Original image photographed in 1988 & started reworking it in 2012 & now published 2020.. Too long between works. I did sell a few framed copies thru the years.

Another long time between Posts

OMG! I seem to forget about using this Blog, Such a long time between posts. So I'll post a few photos I've done over the years. I see a couple of Notices about Google using Cookies & obtaining data for their purposes etc etc.. So be aware that happens on this site.
